The Old Testament: Boring? Irrelevant? Beautiful? Intriguing?

Does this title intrigue you?  You are invited to join us for a free introductory lecture, open to all from 7 to 9 pm on Friday, February 31.  This two hour evening session acts as a taster for the day long workshop which follows on Saturday, February 1, 2020.

Participants will be helped to understand the insights and beauty found in the Hebrew Bible/Old Testament. Background information and resources will allow a hands-on learning experience using a variety of Hebrew Bible passages so that we can hear the many ways God's people have witnessed about God and our human relation to God. We'll focus on biblical narratives so that the brilliant storytelling of the Hebrew Bible invites us into a world of wonder and wisdom.

The Rev. Dr. Patricia Dutcher-Wells of the Vancouver School of Theology is the instructor.  There is no need to register for this free lecture - just show up!  Come to the parking lot door of our Centre for Ministry.
