Please join us for an afternoon concert and experience the magnificent sounds of classical organ and piano music.
Liam is an award-winning pianist, clarinetist and vocalist from Nanaimo. He completed a Bachelor of Music with Distinction in Keyboard Performance at UVic, a Master of Music in Piano Literature and Performance at Western, and a Diploma in Music Performance at UBC, where he studied clarinet. Over the years, he has been the recipient of numerous scholarships and music festival awards, an RCM gold medal in voice, a Canada Graduate Scholarship (SSHRC), and the Greater Victoria Youth Orchestra’s scholarship award for Outstanding Instrumentalist. Since finishing university in 2024, Liam has been studying organ in Victoria on scholarships from the Royal Canadian College of Organists. He has been working as a church organist in Qualicum Beach, a piano accompanist in various coastal communities, and an instructor of piano, clarinet and voice in Nanaimo. He has also been preparing to play clarinet with Canada’s National Youth Orchestra, which has a stop on its summer tour here in Nanaimo on July 30th.
Admission is by donation with all funds going to the music ministry.
